Although making landfall as a powerful Category 3 hurricane, Hurricane Idalia quickly diminished in strength and passed through our service territory as a strong tropical thunderstorm. While the cooperative suffered nearly 10,000 cumulative outages, 3 broken poles and 30 spans of downed wire, crews were able to have all members restored by late Thursday afternoon.
